Progress

Hello everyone! I'm back again with some progress to show you. :D

Jennyfer ordered most of the supplies (beads, clasps, etc) and got most of them! Sadly she hasn't received the elastic string or the key chains from the mail, so I'll just buy the rest of the supplies. Our idea is the same as always- make bracelets and plushies, then sell them, then donate 80% of the profit.

The only obstacle that we've encountered really was Jennyfer not getting the 2 items she ordered. Bad service. Or maybe Amazon just didn't pack the stuff? The world will never know. Anyhow, our next steps are finally making the bracelets.

Well uh.. designing the bracelets. We haven't really made them yet, and designing is a key process to creating an eye-catching accessory. Hey, that sounds nice. "Eye-catching accessory".

Here are some prototype designs for our bracelets.

Introductions

Hello! I'm Kaitlyn. I'm working with my partner Jennyfer to make customized bracelets. We're donating 80% of the profit to a cancer society! Although we're working together, this blog will be all about my side of the story. Check out Jennyfer's blog here: link

Our goal is to successfully help and fund for a cure for cancer. We are hoping to complete this goal by making and selling bracelets, then donating the profit to the American Cancer Society. First we'll do an interest check with the public by making pre-made bracelets and selling them. Then, we''ll open up commissions, and again, we will donate the profit to the cancer society. We are hoping to earn at least $100 to donate. Hopefully such a sum of money will help the American Cancer Society find a cure for such a disease.

Our mentor is Ms. Lowy, our previous art teacher from 6th and 7th grade. She will help us and give us advice on our project, which I greatly appreciate!

I will expect to come across obstacles, such as people not commissioning us, or not having enough materials. I will hopefully overcome these obstacles by trying hard for the public to notice our good intentions, and I will promote our project online for everyone to see. If we do not have enough materials, we will go out of our way to buy more. We will work hard to help find a cure.
